Subject: Looking for Bike in Ft. Worth or surrounding areas
Hey! my name is dave and im just starting to get into Road Bikes and want to get out and ride. The only problem is my lack of a bike. If anyone around here has a used bike in my price range (cheap) or knows of where i can get a good deal on one let me know. I'm about 6'1 6'2 so it would have to have a height that would fit and feel comfortable. Also any other organizations for riders around here i would love to get involved in when i get my bike. Thanks- Dave

bikesdirect.com.  I got a bike they sell for $350 (shipping included) and other than it has low end components it works fine.  I usually average around 20mph per ride and am fairly new to biking.  Also look at craigslist.com or ebay.

I would love to at least attempt a triathlon...but my running is lacking so right now im just looking to get in shape and ive always loved bike riding...and the trinity trails would be a great place for me to start.

This is why I was asking. If you decide to get involved with a tri group. These guys seem pretty cool and they organize group rides quite a bit.

Cowtown would be my first pick if I were getting involved with a group.  I've talked with several of the folks and they seem like nice folks.

Welcome to the area.  Panther City Bikes is my local bike shop and where both my wife and I got our roadies.  The trails are nice to ride on.

Richardson Bike Mart has some used bikes as well. Have to go by there, there's no telling what they have on any given day.

I know that Performance opened a bike shop out in Ft. Worth.

They always seem to have special deals on roadies. They aren't "name brand" bikes per say, but I am certain the bike will get the job done.

Might be worth going into the shop to check out what they have.
