Just got a set of powreblock elite adjustable dumbbells (5-90 each). I have to say they are great. Take up very little space and that makes my wife very happy.

I do mostly bodyweight and Dumbbell training (turbulence training) and this was the perfect solution. Not cheap at $700 for the dumbells and stand, but cheap if you actually price out what the replace - individual dumbbells. When you find normal dumbbells on sale locally (Dicks, etc) they are $.50 a lbs, so a pair of 5lbs would be 5, a 10lbs pair would be 10. That adds up quickly 5-90 at 5lbs increments. Plus the amount of total weight and floorspace that would take up.

If you are a woman, and won't be using > 20 lb dumbells than it's basically a wash. Dumbell costs add up super quick when you starting buying 5 lb increments starting at 25 pounds!

I recently priced out pairs of 3, 8, 12, 15 & 20 to add to my 1, 5 & 10, and it was still cheaper to buy all separate dumbbells than to buy 2 25lb adjustables!

They do take up some space, but it looks really cool.
