Subject: Best Training Plan

I have recently changed up my tri schedule, and this is what I hope to do:

 March 8 - Sprint - registered

April - Sprint - looking

May - Sprint - registered

June - not sure - hoping for Olympic - looking for a one recommended as good for a 1st Olympic.

July - Sprint - will register when it opens

August - not sure.

September - Olympic

October - not sure yet

November - 1st 1/2 IM - November 9th

Should I start with the sprint, and then go to an Olympic plan after my sprint.  At what point in my training should I go to the 1/2 IM plan for my event?

Start your 1/2 IM plan (if using the 20 week beginner 1/2 plan) in June, that should coincide with the Nov 1st race.  In front of the 1/2 plan, lineup an olympic-assuming the first weeks training volume is what you are currently used to, you can probably start now on one of the 16 week oly plans.

The oly plan will get you through your sprints and to your first olympic from which you will transition to the 1/2 IM plan and work the remaining sprint and olympic races into it as 'training days' with some minor schedule changes.
