Subject: Graphing

YOU MUST HAVE 'JAVA' ENABLED IN YOUR BROWSER!

*Graphs ONLY work for the domain http://www.beginnertriathlete.com(not http://beginnertriathelete.com)

  • If using windows explorer and XP operating system, make sure its updated then right click on icon and go to internet properties>advanced and then make sure you have the box under 'java sun' checked and under 'microsoft vm' have JIT compiler for virtual machine checked.

  • If have another operating system, see if above properties are configurable in your browser settings, IF NOT and you still get an 'X' where the graphs should be then you will need to download some Java:  The page has FAQS and Download instructions etc. Shortcut to Java Download page by Sun Microsystems -
    http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp

Other graphing info specifically related to your training log:

To veiw your graphs, in your 'calendar' or 'blog' view, click on the 'graph' link in the 'totals' box.

  • AVERAGE values of distance, time and pace.
  • Total Volume -  Important for periodization, stacked bar graph.
Just simply your SUMMED data for the time increments chosen.
  • Health: Weight, %Body Fat, Resting Heart Rate and # Hours Slept  Line graphs
  • SSSF - Sleep, Stress, Soreness, Fatigue.
Stacked Bar Graph of the values of each. Max is 20...your feeling great!
  • SSSF versus Overall Workout versus Resting Heart-Rate

Each 'Time Period' (month, week or day) will represent one bar on the graph.
The graph will only display 60 'time periods' or bars of data.

Choose your time period with the 'from' and 'to' feilds.
Examples:

  • With the time period of 'monthly' you can display up to 5 years of monthly averaged data.
  • With the time period of 'weekly', your can display up to 1 year of weekly averaged data.
  • With the time period of 'daily', you can display up to 2 months of daily (actual) non- averaged data.

If you exceed the 60 bars of data from your choices, the graph will just display the first 60 bars.

the graphs are cool, but i like to see all the information at once in mini graphs. it would be nice to ..if the graphs were autoupdated and shown on the left hand side of the blog page, or at least one, two or three graphs. it's nice to see what happens to the graph after every input of data.

Thats a good idea, perhaps the 'current months total volume' or something like that...we do have planned to input a mini 'planned vs actual' graph in sometime.  Perhaps both of those.
