Pre-race routine:

Had a bagle and some water. Ate a cherry poptart in the car in route.
Event warmup:

Not really much room for a good warm up. I did strech and walk around as best I could. too many people milling around.

Comments:

I was happy to see I run about as fast off the dreadmill as I do on it. I could have been faster if not pushing the baby in the jog stroller. Too many peoplein the way slowed me down allot. The energy definatly gave me what I neded to be a bit faster.
What would you do differently?:

Sign up in the next quicker wave. I caught some of the last people one wave ahead of me.
Post race
Warm down:

easy streaching and walked a few blocks.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

the crowd.

Event comments:

This was a great event. I will be doing it again next year.

Performance: Good
Course: The course was very nice, I would do this again. It wasnt flat, but not really what I would consider "hilly" either. Just gentle rolling hills. There was one moderate hill in the last Km before the finish. The course was a fast easy run.

Way to go Brad! That's a good pace pushing the baby jogger. Feels good to get outdoors and run versus running on that dang endless belt, eh??

Nice race! Impressive pushing the baby too, I don't know if I could do that. Well I don't have a baby so I guess I'd look pretty foolish pushing an empty stroller! I'm glad to see you ate a PopTart before the race, how did it work? If it worked out well for you I just might have to try it next time.

Way to go Brad! Without the stroller, you would've beaten me for sure! I'd be proud to race you again next year

LOL... Next year I will have a heavier jog stroller... 8-) I was actually suprised how strong I felt. I think it is the energy of the event that gets you going faster than normal. I had a great time and I'm glad you did too frank!!! Thanks for allthe words of encouragement in the last few weeks, Its hard to workout this time of the year. By the way... Krisy did this with me and had a great time! 8-) Hopefully she will do HER race report soon!
