Sounds like you put in a really great effort! It is so frustrating to have your heart ready to do something and have our bodies cramp up or something. I hope you figure out the quad issue.

Congrats on a great race!! You will get that goal time!!

Nice race... be proud that you finished and finished well. In the end a few seconds more would not have mattered. Congrats. Stretch and ice your quads today. Sounds like a great venue... I am still looking for my first half mary.

Great race with all the cramp stuff!

Sounds as though you are going to BQ your next marathon with the motivation from this race, go for it!

Great race!

Cramping while running is tough...did you take electrolytes? Super way to press on and finish strong

When is your next Mary?

Gu and regular Gatorade don't have much sodium in them.

Fins can do it for sure as well. Sodium is just something to think about. I used to cramp most tris on the run but now since I upped my intake of sodium and watch it carefully I don't.

Anger is great training motivation! I was cringing reading about the cramping part. Ugh...sounds really painful! Great job on pushing through it though. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out the cause.
