How do you get such clear pictures loaded.  I can't seem to get mine smaller than 50k without distorting them badly. 

any help would be appreciated

Google microsoft photo re-sizer. It is a free download from Microsoft. Once downloaded you can right click a picture and re-size it without making it all pixelated.

What type of file are they? Often, if I just change mine over to a jpeg the file size will go down enough to post and it never affects clarity.
