I was really looking forward to this race. I was keen to run fast and the goal was to run somewhere in the 3.40s (last year I did 3.56).

Comments:

I enjoyed this race up until the 29k mark and then it all fell apart. I had stomach pain, neck pain and back pain. These are things I have never got before.

Event comments:

I'm not sure why I ran a crap time (goal was 3:40 something).

I felt good heading in, had trained hard and ran the k's and had no injuries.

I'm starting to think I made a bad choice for dinner the night before and drank too much water towards the end of the race.
