I saw an emu on the BWI loop!!!

Master  3546     Millersville, MD |  Subject: I saw an emu on the BWI loop!!!Kind of shocked me out of the zone I was in. I was going clockwise, and was right before the hill that leads up the abstract art sculpture. There was a tall fence with woods right behind it, and standing right there near dusk was this freeking huge bird. Anyone else seen it? |

You know, I'm always coming down that hill and paying so much attention to not crashing as I go around the curve, I never look up to see what's behind the fence there. I'll have to look over next time. That is cool. |

I'd say at the very bottom of the hill right after the sharp left turn (again, going your direction). Look to your right and there is a tall chain link fence with woods beginning immediately on the other side.I'm starting to think it may have been a velociraptor. |

Trust me I much prefer to jump off the loop and run over to Patapsco Valley State Park if time permits... where there are some approaching-savage hills.
Next thing you know I'll be logging wakeboarding as a sport like I should get credit for it or something... |

Regular 59 Hanover, PA | Subject: RE: I saw an emu on the BWI loop!!! This is funny as I keep telling friends that I bike past an emu a couples times a week on the BWI trail and they think I am crazy. I have a bad pic on my cell but I can now use the one on here to show I am right! g |
