Kind of shocked me out of the zone I was in.  I was going clockwise, and was right before the hill that leads up the abstract art sculpture.  There was a tall fence with woods right behind it, and standing right there near dusk was this freeking huge bird.

Anyone else seen it?

Was it on the horse farm?  Do you mean the hill that has the HUGE horseshoe at the top?  You know, I'm always coming down that hill and paying so much attention to not crashing as I go around the curve, I never look up to see what's behind the fence there.  I'll have to look over next time.  That is cool.

Past the horse farm going your direction (counter clockwise). I'd say at the very bottom of the hill right after the sharp left turn (again, going your direction). Look to your right and there is a tall chain link fence with woods beginning immediately on the other side.I'm starting to think it may have been a velociraptor.

I think they are actually ostrich. They've been there for years. I rode by last night and that was first time I've seen them this year.

What is THAT??!!!!  That's what they were singing about in 'if i had a million dollars'.  I would have no idea what that animal even was.  Never seen anything even close to that.

If you can sightsee while riding, you're not going fast enough.  :-p

See them all the time. But what is shocking is the SAVAGEMAN calling that speedbump a hill.
For the record clockwise is 2 minutes faster for me.

Hey now skip - it's the closest thing to a hill on the BWI loop, that's all.  Trust me I much prefer to jump off the loop and run over to Patapsco Valley State Park if time permits... where there are some approaching-savage hills.

Next thing you know I'll be logging wakeboarding as a sport like I should get credit for it or something...

This is funny as I keep telling friends that I bike past an emu a couples times a week on the BWI trail and they think I am crazy. I have a bad pic on my cell but I can now use the one on here to show I am right!
