So, due to some quirk of fate, at the Lansing Legislature this weekend, I won free entry to the Boyne to Boyne race on September 28th and was thinking of doing the half marathon or 10k.

Has anyone done this race before?  Since it is up north I figure it will be hilly and I will be riding a LOT of the course the month before at DALMAC - or at least I think so since they haven't actually posted the course maps yet.

Anyone out there planning on doing this race?

I have not done it but I know people that have. One guy has done over 140 full marathons in the last 12 years. He said that it was the hardest race he has ever done. I should also note that he has tried twice last year to set the world record for running one marathon in all 7 continents in the shortest time (like 25 days).

It's VERY HILLY.. But hey, don;t let that stop you, not like you had to pay for it and besides, it's only 13.1 miles.
