|  Subject: RE: Home Made Sports Drink RecipeI tried this recipe and it was great.  Tasted like a sports drink, and cost about 35 cents for two quarts.  Wanted to get some Maltodextrin, but Whole Foods did not have it. 1/2 cup sugar 3/8 t salt 1/8 t Morton Lite Salt 1 Package lemonade Koolade. Mixed up the powder.  You end up with a mixture that is 50 calories per Tablespoon.  Full strength would be 1 T per 8 oz of water.  Thus you get 8 servings from this one batch.  I used 24 oz bike water bottles and put in 2 T per bottle.  The liquid got very warm on my bike ride, but it still tasted good. |
