Subject: Can you swim w/the Garmin 205?

Just curious as to whether or not this is waterproof enough to swim with?  I know it's rated as "water resistant", but has anyone had any bad experiences with it after swimming with it on?

I put it in a ziploc under my swim cap. Too scared to do it on my wrist.  I guess you could try and if it malfunctions you could tell garmin you got stuck in a rain storm.

The Garmin web site says that Forerunners are not designed for swimming.


As the other poster said, some people put it in a waterproof baggy under their swim caps.

I am always afraid the cap would slip off and I would lose my Garmin.
