Just got an e-amil this morning that they canceled the race due to the storm heading that way. E-mailed a reply requesting a refund as transfering it to Oct Race #4 is not a workable option for me. I feel if the event is canceled by the director, they should offer a refund or transfer. The e-mail simple stated that all entrys would be transfered to Race #4 in Oct.
Fingers crossed for a refund.

I did the same and requested a refund.  Then I went to their website and read the fine print where it states that as of April 2002 they will no longr give refunds for canceled races.  Race #4 is not an option for me either...guess we're out some $$.  Are you guys still headed down for vacation?  We are just going to monitor the weather and make a decision on Tue/Wed.  There is another tri in Myrtle Beach but TS Hannah may get the best of the east coast.

We were able to move the condo reservation to Oct 9,10,11 so were in on Race #4. Now we just have to bid off that weekend from work and were all set. Just glad we didnt already have an event scheduled that weekend. Still awaiting a reply to my e-mail to the race director asking if we are going to recieve writen confirmation of enrty for the Oct 11th race before we drive 6 hrs down there. Im guessing the e-mail canceling Race #3 would serve if needed.

God luck in the race!  Looking at the weather it seems that the cancellation may have been premature for race 3.   Oh well, looks like we're headed to PC as planned with no tri to do.  Have fun you guys.
