I am racing just to actually get a race in.  I have been injured for the first part of the year and now that I am healthy, I just want to go race and have some fun!!

Jbrashear my boyfriend is. It's a fun race. Oh, and get ready... because the bike course is hilly!

If I didn't have a race on 8-31-08, I would be doing it too.

Instead I'll be out running for an hour while he's racing.

This was the first race I ever did back in 2005. It just would not feel right if I did not do it. Yes, the first half of the bike is a little hilly. The second half is much faster.

This was my first tri ever last year, so of course I am gonna be back at it. I had no idea that the course was so hilly until I was on it. This time, I am ready My dad will be racing with me too like always.

I should wear my Iowa State gear just for docshock...

Sounds like this was the first race for a bunch of us.  I did this race as my first as well.  But that was in the first year of the event when they held it at Chandlers Landing.

Hubby is racing......I will be out there doing some more post-surgery cheering.

I'm getting pretty good at that.

This is my first time to do this race.  I'll be out there tomorrow as well.  Bib no. 166.  Glad to know that the 1st part is hilly. It should be fun.

Anyone else have bike problems after the race? When I got home, I found a 1/2" slash in the sidewall of my tire. The only place it could have happened was when I was rolling my bike through the "parking lot". I have to go buy a new tire later because of it.

Hence why I carried my bike to/from the car. I never let it touch off-road if I can help it, especially not when the grass is up to your knees.

I carried it from the car to transition, but not the other way around... I should have known better.
