Meeting place for Silver Lake Tri?

Expert  932    Madison |  Subject: Meeting place for Silver Lake Tri?I need to meet up with Jason from this site tomorrow morning since I have his bike - anyone else want to meet up before hand - or after? I'd love to put some more names with faces. I'll be the really slow one in the water, on the bike and on the run. I do plan to finish though! I've never done this race so don't know the layout - so any recommendations on a meeting spot would be great. Tracy |

I will be the dork that is in the water practicing two or three times before the start. Swimming is by far the least comfortable event for me. And if you think you are the slowest in the water, think again. That will be me doing the elementary backstroke when I freak out. I drove by the venue last weekend, but am not sure how it lays out. If someone who has done it can suggest a spot, I will be there. PS. It should be fairly easy to spot me. I will no doubt be the shortest 45 year old female in the group with grey Zoot shorts and a fuschia top.

I'm going to try the float on my back and kick as hard as I can stroke - does that have a name? I have not trained at all in preparation so I am not expecting a good result....... |

If you are wearing a wetsuit, save your legs, simply moving your arms will get you wear you need to go although it will take a while! Does anyone know how the waves work? age? no one asked me my swim times or ability so I am guessing that isn't it. Suzy
