Subject: Swim workout...
Can somebody please give me a BASIC pool workout.  I am training for my first Tri.  Basically ever swim I try to swim as far as I can 500 meters.  And then do a bunch 100 meter swims.  Is this effective.  I am getting ready for my first tri. 1/3 mile swim...

go to www.usms.org and look for a Masters program in your area...the coach on deck will be more than willing to help you out...they also have some written training plans...
