Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I would love to do another 100miler this year (or at least a 100k that I could extend) that is within driving distance to DFW, are there any around that anyone knows of? I looked on active and did not see anything. Is there anything like Trifind but for bike rally's? |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yep...http://www.bicycle-stuff.com/ There's a ride calendar on there. There's the Cotton Patch Classic in Greenville on 9/20. It's a good one...did it last year and the year before. There's actually a few hills on the 63 mile route. Nothing crazy, but some hills anyway. Autumn in Bonham is good as well. Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Mom23 & I loved the Paluxy Pedal for one of the smaller rides in the area - if you do 45 or more, you get to climb "The Wall" a 19% grade - sweeeet! |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'll be doing the Denton Turkey Roll in late November. They have a 71 mile course that winds its way up through some small country towns and goes over Lake Ray Roberts. I ride sections of the course on my training rides and it's just beautiful. |

I rode from my old house over to preston/289 up into celina and back for 80 miles total but I might be willing to do it again. |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() There's the TX Tough bike rally Sep 14 with a 56 mile & 112 mile option, but you have to raise money for it a la MS150. http://www.txtough.org/ |

Yup.. I talked to someone that did this last year...(I believe...might have been the year before..anyway).. He didn't make it all the way up without walking....he is going back this year to kick it in the rear... They hand out patches at the top wall.. ![]() And the Texas Tough, you do have to raise 300.00, but it all goes to Childrens Medical Center in Dallas. I also believe that if you raise 300.00, that covers you for the other events when they do those. (2.4mi swim, 26.2 run... to complete the Iron Challenge...) Kenny |

Regular![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I talked to someone from Texas Tough at HHH. You only have to raise the $300 1 time and can do all 3 events, but this year the only they have is the bike so you would be raising the $300 just for the bike. Next year, they will have the whole series and you would have to raise the $300 again, but you can participate in all 3. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() This is the last century I did before IMFL last year. http://www.wacowildwest.com/ It is not a bad drive to Waco from DFW. The route is well supported, fairly flat but has a bit more chip seal than I like. It was during the mile 90 marker of this ride that I discovered Pickle Juice. ![]() |

That's got to be less of a hassle than the MS150. |
