Subject: Inexpensive West Valley Tri

I know that most of you are racing Nathan's on the 21st but for those of you who are interested, Luke AFB is holding their annual sprint tri on saturday Sept 20th.

The entry fee is $20 for service members and $45 for civilians. I did this last year and it was so much fun. Both the hubby and I are racing it this year- it's his first tri.

It is 400m pool swim/14 mile bike/5k run all on the base.

Sally, I spent 4 years on the base. I'm interested in it. I have not been on the base in about 15 years. It would be neat to see the changes. The bike ride is prbably around the perimeter of the base. This would be cool as you could see the entire flight line and F16s.

Rick, last year they had us go around the perim which was great except a mountain bike would have been more appropriate This year it's a 2 loop course, we cross over to the east side of Litchfield and back on the bike

You and Shelly should do it! Its a small, fun race  

 

Regsitration is due by sept 12th
