Hope not too late - I ran this last year and will do it again. I like it. Lots of turns on the course and there's a big hill to climb towards the end. But, it's a decent NYRR event. I don't consider it a big "event" just a solid race. Have to admit the scenery wasn't much to look at - some of the course felt like we were running through a factory parking lot. But it's Queens. And I'm sure there will be a good turnout.
Sorry - after running it again this year, my opinion is WAAAAAAY different. I forgot about all the hills leading up to the last one. The twists and turns were too much. NYRR blew it on some logistics issues. Last year I ran this after being hurt, so I was just happy to make it the whole way.
