Subject: results question
Okay, need an answer from you seasoned runners. Here are the results from my first half marathon on Sunday...

Place Class Place Chip Time Final Time Pace
216/932 19/55 1:45:30 1:46:15 8:07

Here's where my questions arise. I found more results that were age graded...

Place Class Place Handicapped Time Pace Wava Pace Raw Time
172/932 21/55 1:37:10 7:25 60.9% 1:46:15

What are age graded results, Handicapped time, wava pace?

WAVA (World Association of Veteran Athletes) publishes "Age Graded" tables for comparing performances between runners of different ages.

A PLP is alo provided that establishes your ranking for the performance:

100% = Approximate World-Record Level
Over 90% = World Class
Over 80% = National Class
Over 70% = Regional Class
Over 60% = Local Class

ETA: In your results, your seeing your WAVA Adjusted Time and your PLP. (Performance Level Percentage)

Notice that based on WAVA time, you moved up a bit in the overall field, but remained pretty much in the same place in your AG. (Because everyone's times get adjusted similar to yours)

Nice race BTW

Here is a link to one of many calculators for computing WAVA Age Grading and PLP Scores:
