Anyone know if the run course has changed from last year? I have seen conflicting statements here on BT. Some suggest the part out by the Expo center has been deleted and the full course is within the park boundaries. Others, ie. the map on the website, appears to be the same as last year with the turn around on the Expo's driveway.

The elevation link on the official website shows a distance of 12.7 miles. Are we doing a 69.9 because of the heat?

We're leaving the run course the same as last year. Sorry to disappoint, but it's 13.1 miles. It'll be cooler this year

So you decided not to reverse the run direction after all? Thought you were going to make Quadzilla the hill by the dam to get more spectator participation.

Keith,
thanks for the clarification.

One more question - will athletes be required to wear their bib numbers during the bike and the run or just the run?

Both the run and bike.....We have TWO bib #'s. Because it's Ironman-affiliated, you need to have a bib on the bike to be marked if you get a penalty

No, we didn't change the run after all. There were some logistical issues in front of transtion that wouldn't work the way we wanted.

DON'T worry, there will be some pretty cool stuff on Quadzilla, AND out the new Hill Country Running Company Energy Lab, out at the Expo center

We've got a ton of stuff.....VERY excited. Of course, the devil is the key to the whole weekend's success.....

the Devil -- and Elvis. I ran Quadzilla last Sunday and was really lonely at the turn at the bottom of the spillway before the hill up.
