Subject: Question on adding a race

I am trying to add the 2009 Ford Ironman California 70.3 (04/04/2009) to my scheduled races.  Searching for the race doesn't show that a 2009 entry exists yet.  However, if I try to add the race as a new link, it displays the 2008 entry (http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/directory/link-detail.asp?linkid=2719).   What is the correct procedure to get this either updated for the new year?  Do I  continue to add it as a new race, or is there a way to use the existing entry modified for the new year?

Just use the 'add race' button.  I changed to the new date.

You could have technically added that race via the race wizard, though you would have put in the new date when it imported it into your race report...eventually we would have updated the date too....it's the same link regardless.

I submitted races (chilly cheeks & lair o the bear) last night and they aren't showing up yet in the list.

Are these races that you added via the race wizard?  I don't see them in your race log.  There are several chilly cheeks and a lair race that is very old.  If they are in your race log, give me the URLS - that will help me find them.

If they are not in your race log, give me the state and date that they will take place to help me locate them.

I entered them a couple nights ago using the wizard.  I have the info at home.  I'll try again in case I didn't hit a submit button or something and post again if it didn't work.

ok, that was strange.  The Chilly Cheeks races didn't show up in the list, but when I entered the info to add a new race they showed up and are the ones I added the other day for this winter.

All of your chilly cheek races are fixed.  I think what happened is that you may have searched for them by city with the race wizard and if it wasn't a match, it had you enter a new race.

All the chilly cheeks are now with Denver as the city.

Actually I just searched for Colorado from today's date onward for any type of race.  Three of the runs I entered and added to my race list still aren't showing up on the first race search page.

Btw, thanks Ron!!!!!

edited to add: when I searched Chilly Cheeks originally, they were this year's, i.e. past, races so I entered new entries for the upcoming races.
