I'm trying to decide what to do for my last peak work out for a 1/2 mary coming up on sept/28th before I start reducing mileage. I'm doing about 55km's/week with a long run around 24km's and a 30-40minute tempo, I ususally run 2 medium days and try to bike once a week. (My logs are current).

I'm trying to decide what my last peak workout should be (10-14days out from race day).

Should I do a 20k run with 10k slightly slower then 1/2 pace?

10k tempo @ 1/2 pace?

intervals?

25k long run?

thanks
Pete

Whatever you feel gives you the most confidence.

Because from a physiological standpoint, it don't matter; one workout ain't gonna make or break it at this point.

I realize this workout isn't gonna make much of a difference, I just don't wanna accidentally do too much or too intense of a workout this close to race day.

Generally speaking, at this point you have plenty of time to recover from any workout you do, short of racing the distance or greater.  You've got over two weeks.

Relax.  You'll be fine.  Go out and do whatever workout you might normally do.
