Subject: 25 pounds in 25 days???

I was reading someplace on here that there was a 25 pounds in 25 days  challenge a while back... How in the heck did you guys pull that off????It seems like too much too fast but I'm curious.

I'm betting that even if that kind of weight could be dropped it would be largely water weight and therefore wouldn't be maintained. Also, I doubt that it would be particularly healthy as you would have to be bordering on dehydration most of the time, not to mention the lack of energy (lethargy) you would be feeling. Not a good place to be...

That's what I was thinking... I'm on a very conservative 2 pound a week plan, but saw someone doing this and had to ask the question HOW? You do see them do this on the biggest looser, but their entire day is dedicated to working out and eating.

I'm on a 2lb per week strategy as well.

I have seen big numbers dropped on the Biggest Loser, and yes they are dedicated 24/7 to losing weight and working out, but I have heard that it is not always 7 days between weigh-ins. Sometimes it is longer. Also, according to my P.T. you cannot maintain muscle mass/condition while consistantly dropping those sorts of numbers...

I try not to get too caught up in the Biggest Loser numbers now.

I don't know about any 25 lbs in 25 days challenge, but at the beginning of this year, we had a 25 lbs in 25 weeks challenge. Not nearly as drastic as it would be in 25 days...

If you watch The Biggest Loser, there is a disclaimer at the end that is it not always a week between shows.

The said, I remember a Spark challenge many years ago on the Internet for two normal weight people to GAIN 30 pounds in 30 days. Only one of them did it, and only made the final weigh-in by drinking a ton of water. Interesting then how long it took them to take it off ...
