Subject: DFW Tri Groups, Swimming help

Hello all.

 New to tri.  Been training a few months and plan on doing my first tri some time next year.  Just curious though, I am in pretty good condition to start off, but my swimming needs work.  Any suggestions on where I could get a few cheap swim lessons, primarily to help me with my breathing, around DFW.  I know of the general ones e.g. YMCA, Dallas Aquatics.  I train at the White Rock athletic club in White Rock and use that pool primarily but I don't think there are any options there.

Any of these might get you where you need to go depending on your definition of cheap.

While I have been known to provide a certain amount of swim assistance, Coach Tom @ Irving Masters (swim @ NorthLake CC) is by far the best swim coach I have ever worked with. He is extremely tri friendly as well. Smile

Kristen Warner with Texas Triple threat does private lessons or you can join the team for $75 a year and they swim on Wed and Fri mornings at LTF.  Also, Dave Young with NT Masters swimming.

Also there is Dallas Aquatic Masters, by joining them you get access to numerous pools across the DFW metroplex. They also offer lessons.
