Comments:

This was my first race since the July 4th fiasco. I've been playing mental games all summer, convincing myself that it was my age that was causing me to run so slowly. But today I had a PR (and won Grandmasters!), so I guess I need to get over that mental hurdle.

What would you do differently?:

I held back a little, in case I had actually gone out too fast. But I felt good the entire run, so I probably can push it up a notch at the next race.

A decent sized local race -- at least 350 runners and walkers. And a good reason to run -- Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
