Besides UGA getting stomped the night before the race, the SC HIM was a great time.  I am going to try and put up a RR sometime later today.  For anyone contemplating a HIM race around Georgia, I would highly reccomend this event.

I got to meet up with three other BTers for dinner and beers Saturday night.  Thanks to Doug, Steph, and Nat for inviting me to dinner.  I saw Natalie on the run couse a couple of times and she told me her "foot was going numb"......I would have gladly traded my sharp pain for her numbness.  I could have used a good case of numbness in multiple places by the end of the run.  I really wish I had rested on Sat instead of going on a two hour ride (DUMB)

LOL... I fell asleep in the middle of the game. I think Alabama was winning by three touchdowns at that point. It was a good thing too, as I woke up at 1 AM for about forty minutes or so.

This was one seriously rolling course. Nothing steep, just never a flat moment I'm not sure if I'd trade the heat and flatness of Florida 70.3 for this course though. I rather enjoyed it, and the lake swim was awesome.

Big congrats to all first time half iron finishers!! (Nat, Steph, Doug??). It was good seeing everybody at the race having a good time!

Race report to follow as well...

I'll add to the list of happy customers.  Great race and well run.  Hard course, but I guess a half ironman is never going to be easy.  Good times.
