I'm in the slow but fun process of researching what my next bike will be.  I've been in contact with Javelin on their '09 models and I've been very impressed with their feedback and knowledge along with the prices that have listed even for their nicest bikes.

I'd love some feedback from anyone who has used or is currently riding a Javelin bike.  What do you like about them?  What do you dislike?  Any issues with the parts they are using (i.e. immediate replacement of certainparts upon arrival for better ones).

I got a Garda in Spring with their great sale, but I'm a novice and have changed nothing on the bike.  If you don't get a response here, find the multipage thread on tri-talk and resurrect it.  Lots of BT'rs bought Jav's on the big sale.

I've had a Javelin Arcole for 2 years and really like it, in part because it fits me well and is comfortable. I bought it as a frameset and have just finished building it up how I wanted it.

In the spring of each year, avg Joes can join "Team Javelin" and get a nice Sugoi tri suit for $25 shipping/admin fee, and receive discounts on associate sponsors such as Kinesys, Rotor cranks & Q-rings, NUUN, and others, and 25% off framesets and complete bikes, deep discounts on Zero wheels, etc. They usually have a huge clearance sale at season's end, and that's where I picked up my Arcole for over 50% off.

Their high-end bikes are nice, but pricey. John Cobb, cycling/aerdynamics guru had a hand in the design of Javelin's bikes.

Much appreciated Sty.

Yup, I already had the Javelin Tri Team link bookmarked for next season so I can join.  Their annual discounts can't be beat and I've been very happy with their response to any questions I have through e-mails.  Their brochure was well put together, too.  I'm guessing I'd have to put an order in fairly quickly to get a 58cm ordered seeing as the only sizes they currently have left are <50cm.

That thread is a duzy so I may need to sit down this weekend for an hour or so just to read through it all.
