Subject: Triathlon Saved My Life!

Okay, so I have been a member since late July/Early August and recently went through a major physical change due to Triathlon training and a change in diet.

I have now lost 45 lbs and brought my cholesoral from 230 down to 150. I'm a little taller than 5'7" and used to weigh 190 lbs. Now I weigh 145 lbs! My triglycerides were at 719 and are now down to 61! I was really out of shape and didn't excersize at all. I went in for a physical back in January of 2008 and was told by my doctor that I was on the road to killing my self. I am only 32 years old and I never thought I'd be hearing my doctor telling me this at this age. My blood pressure was at 190/94 and is now an average of 119/72. Also, I am now off of blood pressure mediaction and exercise nearly every day! My pulse rate was at 80 bpm and is now at 50 bpm.

Traithlon helped save my life!!! Now I am able to play with my 2 sons of 4 1/2 years old and 17 months old! I have tons of energy now and I am such a happy person. (It's probably from all the endorphins I am getting from swimming, Biking, and Running nowadays!) I look forward to each day now rather than dread them! I look at each sunrise with optimism rather than with negativity! I now help my wife in the morning with the kids more than I ever have before! I do the dishes, help clean the house, do the laundry, and even make dinner 4 nights out of the week! (All of which I have never done before!)

I feel like I have a new lease on life now and that I took too much for granted  in the past. Life was passing me by, but now that I am a Triathlete, not anymore! I am so gratful for this amazing sport and for the peolpe (you guys and gals out there) who participate in it as well! Keep swimming, biking, and running and living each day to the fullest!!! I know I now do!

I look forward to meeting other Triathletes on here and to hopefully make new local friends to train with and see at local races! Take care and thanks for your time!

Sean-

That is wonderful! Wow - look at your cholesterol/triglicerides improvements!

Doctors should prescribe triathlon.

Impressive changes..congrats!

Your kids are to young to know the change, but you will be a great example for them going forward. Really what you did was a gift to your children.

Cute kids...great family pictures
