2008 season comes to a close for me

Well my multisport journey started a year ago when I did a couple sprint triathlons and caught the bug. With my completion of the Detroit Marathon yesterday I wrapped up my first full season of this crazy sport and I have to say it was a wonderful year of memories, challenges, and new friendships. I had several big firsts: 1st oly, 1st HIM, and 1st marathon. I met some great people that have a great passion for this sport and others who participate in it. I've learned a great deal about myself and what I'm truly capable of. Just 6 months ago I would have thought a marathon was physically impossible for me. We are capable of some pretty crazy things when we put our mind, body, and spirit into it. It's been fun and I hope we all get a chance to do a little off season training or hanging out. I'm going to take a few weeks off and relax, wrap my mind around this last year, and start planning for next year. Here's to hoping your 2008 season was a great one...
