Subject: We won the tournament!
I'm sorry, but I just had to let everyone know we won the Midwest Women's Hockey Tournament in the Quad Cities this past weekend. The final score in the Championship game was 1-0 against UW Eau Claire. We were pretty happy considering most of us on the team are well over 30 and we beat a bunch of college kids. I'm the one holding my son in the front row. Don't worry, much caution was taken when I brought him out on the ice and he was only out there about 1 minute so he didn't get cold. My mom watched him for me while I played. It was a great weekend!

I assume you played at the MARK of the Quad Cities?  Home of the Mallards?

I grew up 20 miles north of there. Good job on beating those whippersnappers!

We played at the Quad City Sports Center, right next to the baseball field under the Centennial Bridge in Davenport, IA. Probably about 20 fans, but I don't care!
