Comments: The first 11 miles we averaged between 25-30 mph. There were several slowdowns followed by jumps to thin out the herd. My strategy was to ride back on versus jumping to keep up. It worked for awhile. I ended up finishing about 2-3 minutes behind the winner. What would you do differently?: At mile 11 there was a hard right turn. It was the decider. I should have jumped for all I was worth in order to stay on. Shortly after this, the winds started. Hard! Had I stayed on the pack, I had the legs. unfortunately, I did not have the leg sto fight th ewind solo. Anyone I picked up would just suck my wheel. So I had to full on sit up to get them to take a pull. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Short ride back to parking lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wind! Lots of stinking wind! Last updated: 2009-02-21 12:00 AM
