Hi, I'm Roger.  We live in the NC mountains and I started training in December for Kerr Lake Tri - OLY in June.  This will be my first tri in 22 years.

I've been a runner and biker for 30 years.  Thanks to Lipitor, I stopped doing any training 4 years ago, during which time I gained 25 lbs.  Last December I got off of Lipitor and got my life back.  My training is going relatively well.  Swimming 1500 meters twice weekly, running 3 miles three times weekly (adding 1/2 mile every 4th run) and just got back on my bike yesterday for the first time in 5 years....geez, I have a long way to go by June 7th!!!

Getting back into running shape has been harder than I anticipated, but I truly look forward to every workout and best of all, I've dropped one belt-notch....about two more to go!!!!

Roger, congratulations on getting back to an active lifestyle.  You mention an Oly in June.  Perhaps you should take a look at one of the Oly training plans here on the site and see if you can jump in the middle of it.  The plans are great ways to make sure you really are adequately trained for an event.

Welcome to BT!
