Has anyone here joined USA Triathlon? Do you think we should join? What are the benefits? Do you need to be a USA Triathlon member to run certain triathlon events? What about ITU?

Most events that are sanctioned are sanctioned through USA Triathlon. In order to race you either have to be a member or you can get a day pass which I think is nine dollars. If you are a member, you get a membership card, window sticker and usually a couple of newsletters during the year. It also allows you to be ranked regionally and nationally against other members. With the day pass you don't get the rankings if I am correct. You also can bypass the table for oneday registration and save yourself sometime by being a member. I would suggest that you go to there website and view all the details. http://www.usatriathlon.org/Frames/fs_membership.htm

I have been a member for the last two years and have no complaints.

Still Tri'n
