Run
Comments: I stuck 100% to my plan. This "plan" was to stretch my legs after my long bike ride yesterday, and to conserve energy but put myself in a racing frame of mind. It worked! I never pushed too hard, I kept a manageable pace, and I feel good about the day. Plus I won hardware -- 1st in my AG! I'm so glad I didn't get caught up in the moment today. The woman who won Grand Masters and I go head-to-head a lot. Today she ran a 24:03. For a 55 year old woman, that's darned good! If I had even tried to keep up with her, I'd be in trouble training-wise for this week. So instead, I'll be able to do my long run tomorrow -- woo hoo! What would you do differently?: With my 1/2 IM coming up in two weeks, I don't think I would have changed a thing. Post race
Event comments: A decent local race with a good turnout. Fun! Last updated: 2009-04-24 12:00 AM

Short run in the neighborhood. I knew there would be hills on this course, so I wanted to "practice bleeding" and do one beforehand.
