i'm guessing this is the error message for a full Inbox.

You have an excessive number of messages stored in your ''. You cannot send any messages anymore before you delete some expired mail.

i was not aware anyone knew i was keeping things in my ". How embarrassing!

Bump.

The error message should specify if it is the Sent Items, or Inbox that is full.  Currently you don't know which to empty, so you need to empty both, because even if you do guess right and empty the correct one, even after you've emptied it, the error message stays until you click on any element of the messaging "section," for lack of a better term.
