Subject: this is not a question...

but a tip.

when training, try to not wear headphones.  i was about to pass a dude on his cycle in front of me after i called out 'passing on your left'  only to realize as i neared him he all the sudden veered into the middle of the path (where i would soon be) as he grabbed something out of his bag...could have been me - one with the trail.  i passed him by and he was wearing headphones under his hair...never even noticed.  and not to mention running.  i heard on another site (tno) a girl with headphones did not look or hear and turned right around into a cyclist who (he thought) had warned of his approach.

what to do w/out headphones and music to get u pumping those legs?  for me, running or biking is the best time i have for thinking and reflection.  really, my best ideas come during a quite run or bike.  try it.

be careful.

No Problem Ron, I never wear headphones when I run. For the reason that you just mentioned. And I find it hard enough to hear a bicyclist coming up behind me, anyways, warning or not. (half deaf in one ear) Don't wanna get smoshed.

Guster, an awesome "wuss-rock" band, that sounds like Dave Mathews Band. Definetly worth checking out. www.guster.com
