Pre-race routine:

Night before: Swim 1600 yrds. Then hit the bar, drink a beer, inhale smoke for 3 hours and don't go to be until 1 am. I did keep the water flowing though.

Day of: Wake-up around 9 am, drink coffee and eat cereal. Drink water. Got to the race about 45 min before the gun.
Event warmup:

Normally I like more time but it was snowing sideways and blowing around 25-30 MPH. Stretched and warmed-up inside. The warm-up run was pretty much non-existent.

Comments:

I went out a bit fast, but I was able to pull it together and keep it going. I tried to kick it out at the end, but the wind picked up right into my face.

Warm down:

Standing around and waiting for the rest of my team to finish. quick strech and then home for a shower.

Event comments:

The best part of this race is that my team raised over $700 so far for Race for the Cure. A great total and something to be proud of. We are still taking donations, so if anyone whould like to donate you can click on the link below.

Nice 8's, dizzle, especially in the farging blizzard that's enveloped our barren wasteland of a state.  That's an awesome run on a less-than-good day which raised a sweet amount of money for a great cause...Nice Sunday, WTG!

I hope your time was wrong, Dizzle!  I want to see a sub 8 average!

Great work... a PR, right?  Just keep on attacking... and that time will continue to drop!   I bet you scored some more HARDWARE!

Great race...  Lansing is such a beautiful city...  and playmakers rock....   Your pace was impressive regardless of the partying you had going on the night before
