Hello,

I will be training in the Belgrade Lakes region this summer.  I think most of the roads have rolling hills... it seems like you are always going up, or going down.   Personlly I love this kind of riding, but was wondering if anyone could recommend an area that is real flat to practice an aero position with constant pedalling for a long period of time?  Thanks!

You're right about a lot of rolling hills.  If you are close to Belgrade Village I would think sticking to Rt 27 south to Augusta would be your best best.  It has some hills but there are some pretty good stretches of mostly level riding.  Rt 27 north towards Rt 2 has some major hills as does the roads around Rome heading towards Oakland.  Also, Rt. 27 has a nice, wide shoulder.  It's almost like having an entire lane to yourself.  Roundtrip from Belgrade Village to Augusta and back is a bit under 30 miles I'd guess.

Thanks!  That makes it real easy as I'll be staying right off Rt. 27!
