Subject: Mounting a watch on a chip strap
I've got a pearl izumi neoprene style chip strap, and one of the timex 100 lap ironman branded watches (The one with the yellow casing). Been thinking about removing the regular wrist straps and putting it on the chip strap so I can swim with it easier (Being on the wrist bugs the he77 out of me for some reason.)

Anyone else do this or anything similar?

John

AAAAAHHHHHHH...C-H-I-P strap. I thought it said CHIN strap and was thinking WTF?

Never done it as I often check splits on my flip turn when there is no pace clock. I bet it would work fine though.

Well, yeah, but in a pool I just lay it on the deck. But, the strap isn't big enough to quite fit around the ankle, and I want it more for OWS than pool swimming.

Maybe I'll get a really cheap watch and tear it apart and see...
