Subject: Question regarding Triathlon Championship from Madrid
I was watching a reply of Triathlon Championship from Madrid last night and the commentators were mentioning how the the lead pack was working together. They were drafting, forming pace lines and taking turns pulling. I also noticed that most of the bikes were fitted with road bike bars (drops) with aero bars as well. This may have been due to the hilly course, but I was very surprised to see the drafting. I thought draft was illegal???? It looked more like a road race with a lead group and a chase group.

In ITU racing drafting is legal.  I understand the the ITU rules also prevent the use of a full aerobar setup like on time trial or triathlon bikes so they go with the short aerobars.
