Anchor's Aweigh 5K - Support the Navy this Saturday at 7am!

The Anchor's Aweigh 5K will take place on the beautiful Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University. The run course features rolling hills and a long downhill as you tour Centennial Campus. The race will take place on a smooth pavement surface with a few areas requiring participants to run on the sidewalk. A water station will be provided at the 1.5 mile marker. The finish line is next to Centennial Plaza.

The last day to register online for this event is Thursday July 9, 2009. On-site registration may be available if this event is not full, but your best bet is to register online.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pick Up will be held Friday, July 10th from 4-7 pm at the NOSC Raleigh - 2725 Western Blvd - Raleigh, NC 27606.

On-site registration will be available the day of the event until 6:30am!

You will receive your timing chip and strap on Saturday before the race. Bring your race bib to the chip pick up table to get the corresponding chip. Please attach the chip and strap to your LEFT ankle. If you are not wearing a chip you will not have an official time on the results page.

The proceeds from the "2009 Anchor's Aweigh 5K Raleigh Road Race" will benefit the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Raleigh, home to over 450 citizen Sailors and Marines who call the Tar Heel State home. The donations raised from this race will help cover the costs of events designed to welcome back our troops as they return from the continuous cycle of deployments all of the world in support of the War on Terrorism. Please join us, by running alongside soldiers, sailors, and marines past and present, as we celebrate their service and commitment. We are honored and privileged to host what promises to be an exciting, challenging, and rewarding first inaugural race!
