Hi Marylanders

Can someone familiar with the Annapolis area give me a relatively bike-friendly way to ride from Annapolis down to Davidsonville.  I'm starting here just over the 450 bridge.

I'm biking down to the Women's 5k to do the race then have about 35 miles more to ride before I head home so I was thinking I'd head down to do some of the Davidsonville roads but don't know a good way to get there on the bike.

Thanks for the suggestions

So who do you know that used to live in Annapolis... hmmm  geee I don't know.
You can do Taylor, West, 2, 214.  That is what we did a few weekends ago for that 4 hr bike.
So it's doable, but West and 2 are trafficy.  And it's only 10 miles so you wouldn't be happy.
As an alternate, I recommend 70 W, 450 W, 424 S.  Nick, Ash and I did 450 from CP to Annapolis
and back a long time ago.  I've never been on 424, but it looks legit.  That route is 16 miles!
Which should be a perfect warm up for a 5k.

Thanks James   214/424 is where I'm trying to end up so the rt 2 way will work.  What about Riva?  Would that be better than 2?

I'm biking from my house to the race for the warmup (18 miles), I just need a way to get out to Davidsonville to do 39 more miles, then I bike back home.  Trying for 75 this weekend

From 424 you could cross over Route 3 in Crofton and take Patuxent Rd all the way through Piney Orchard to 170 which would get you back home. I don't know what the mileage would be though.

I'm sure a lap around BWI would make up for any mileage shortage (if any).

I was bored at work and did a rough layout on Map My Ride that came out to 70 miles. It would be easy to add more.

Oh Sweet! That means I wouldn't have to come back on the trail too Laughing.  I think I'll make that southern loop part longer so I can avoid going around the BWI loop too.  Thanks for the map   I didn't realize there was a bike-able route up through crofton and all.
