So remember, my advice is worth precisely how much you paid for it (probably less, due to the time you spent reading it... ). Get thee entered into a race! Seriously, if you've got nothing on the books until 2012, but you are at HIM fitness right now, you are going to be bored out of your skull just pounding out the miles. 2012 is the next PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, and this one hasn't even gotten all his boxes unpacked yet! So, whether it is actually a race, or some other goal, set yourself some benchmarks to reach. Maybe now is a good time to hire a coach (for any or all of the sports ) and really slow down and concentrate on getting your form absolutely perfect, then ramping speed back up. Maybe try duathalons, sprints or mini-sprints (all-out effort for an hour ), time trials, master's swimming, strength training, whatever you can think of, just have something before 2012 to shoot for. |
