Subject: Girlie bits running question...need some helpOkay....let me start this out by saying I am not a runner...I am working on it but it is still very difficult for me and my first sprint is in 1/1 2 weeks. I started running about 1 year after I had my first daughter and I had some leakage and a lot of numbness. The numbness was so strange that I contacted my doctor who said because I had an epidural and had to push for so long and hard (2 1/2 hours ) that it was due to nerves and it would eventually go away. After a lot of exercises and continued running the leakage went away but I still have minimal numbness. (2 years later ) About 2 months ago I started experiencing something different. After I get done with a run I have the intense burning feeling that normally accompanies an UTI, but it goes away after 12 hours or so. This seems to be increasing in frequency, as does my run training, and it is extremely uncomfortable. I assume this is due to some friction going on but I don't know if anyone has some advice on what else I could do to make this better. I have tried wearing underwear (even resorted to granny panties once ) under my training shorts/pants to see if that would help but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I also have started training in my tri shorts thinking the pad may be helpful as there is no middle seam but that doesn't make a difference either. Anyway else have this issue and any advice? |
