Need a bike

Member 9 |  Subject: Need a bikeI just completed my first sprint tri. I was unable to use my bike so I used my sisters mountain bike which was okay but I had a hard time with the gears and all of the hills. I have another tri in September and since biking is definitely my weakest link I wanted to get a new bike and start training with it ASAP. I am definitely on a budget! I have been looking on craigs list but I don't know anything about bikes. There are three bikes in which I thought may be worth taking a look at. A diamondback sorrento, Cannondale,Shogun 400, and 2 Raleighs. I want something light that is easy to use. I am willing to upgrade later on once I am sure I want to continue in this sport. Any input would be great. If there are any suggestions of any other bikes to check out that would be appreciated to. |

But the best bike is the one that works for you. Visit a few stores in your area, try out a few bikes. Figure out what you want to spend and then take one for a test drive. Either way the ones your mention are good choices if you like riding them, are motivated to ride and race, and have fun. |
