Regular 82 |  Subject: Sprint Triathlon in Lincoln ScheduledJust found out that the Lincoln Northeast YMCA is having a sprint and youth Tri on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Over 19 and relay are swim 500 yards in NE YMCA pool, Run 5k, Bike 11 miles around Mahoney Park. (Yeah run before bike. Basically you run up 70th street to adams over to 84th and than to the event center bike path going towards 120th and back to Mahoney Park) Reasonable price and it goes to the Strong Kids campaign as well (15/under 13 and $28 over) Three kids divisions under 6 !? 25/2m walk/2.2m bike under 10 50/2m/3.3m under 13 100/2/4.4 Link to page with info and maps http://ymcalincoln.org/locations/northeast/index.htm |

The south Y did one 2 years ago I think. from what I heard they didn't have that great of a turn out. I will ask the director about it when I see him next........ |

I think I may be ready for a sprint by that time, and since I struggle with the run, I can get it out of the way and then have fun finishing on the bike. And it's one for the whole family.
