Subject: spudman next week/training concern
So I am heading out to Idaho for Spudman, my first Oly tri!  I have been feeling really confident and more than prepared. I peaked last weekend with a 30 mile ride followed by a 7 mile run.  Felt strong and great with only a little stomach discomfort after.  Tuesday I did a spin class for about 40 minutes and then ran home (6.6 mi)  still felt really strong.  Although on monday I felt really weak during my OWS.  I was breathing hard and therefore had a more difficult time getting into a good rythm.

I had  a fairly laid back weak, lifted weights twice and took a day off due to lots of fatigue.  Today I went out to do a 16 mile ride and 4 mile run, with the idea of taking it pretty easy the rest of the week.  I felt okay on the ride, but crashed on the run, I had to walk at least 1/3 of it!  I was so frustrated!  Have I over done it, do I need more rest?  This has really hurt my confidence going into the race!

One other thought.  I have been using an electrolyte mix in my water during the bike.  Thus far, I have only used it during my evening workouts and I am wondering if using it first thing in the morning today, with little on my tummy was just to much.  Could it have been too much salt in my tummy this early?  I only mixed it half strength, so I don't think that is the issue, but just a thought!   Anyway, any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
