Where is everyone swimming at in and around Madison. I went to gov. nelson today (where I norm go) and the blue-green is HORRIBLE then I went to Marshall Park and it was just as bad. Had to cut the swim then

I usually check this before I go out for a swim.  http://www.publichealthmdc.com/environmental/water/beaches/

I was at Vilas Park last week and although there are lots of weeds in Lake Wingra, it isn't too bad otherwise.

I swam in the aquathon at Warner Park on Mendota last thursday - despite them reopening the beach that morning, the water was surprisingly clean.

Ha Funny Jen D I was there too. I thought the water was pretty good as well maybe ill stick around there more. I was just so surprised at the amount of blue-green in the water I have really NEVER seen it that bad at all.

Wingra or the Verona quarry are on my short list.

The blue-green algae must just travel around.  At the aquathon in June, the algae was a bit worse along with a horrendous amount of goose poop floating on the surface - don't know if you had the joy of experiencing that too!  How did the aquathon go for you on Thurs?  Did you eat any wings?
