Subject: custom paint ?
I will be receiving my bike in a week and hope to custom paint it before IM CDA. My question is.... is it THAT difficult to take the bike completely apart to ship the frame? My bike will be pimpin'!

I would think your LBS would be the best judge of this, but why custom paint a brand new frame? Just 'cuz? Good enough for me!

That's why I did mine. Didn't feel like rolling into transition on the bazillionth stock painted P3C.

Stripping the bike down isn't all that difficult, but it can be time consuming. LBS will definitely charge you a bit for it. With a little confidence and know-how, you can do it yourself.
